The Police Report.

The police report and the photos they took.
Thurday I went back to the Eastern District Traffic Management Unit in Pasig to pay for and get my copy of the police report I filed Tuesday when that stupid Expedition smacked into my rear bumper. It took me more than an hour to get it, and I also had to shell out two hundred pesos (plus photocopying fees) to get the report.
A couple of facts off the police report: The other driver claimed that I slammed on the brakes. No, I did not. In defense, I wrote down, on the police report form, the verbal admission he made while on the collision site: “Nalingat lang ako.”
And a few questions from the short interview with the police officer (Tuesday):
PO: Bumangga, o binangga?
Me: Binangga.
PO: Sa harap ka, o sa likod?
Me: Sa harap.
PO: Likod mo ang tinamaan?
Me: Oo.
PO: Anong ginagawa mo nung nangyari ang aksidente?
Me: Wala, nagmamaneho lang.
PO: Nasaktan ka ba?
Me: Hindi.
PO: Totoo ba ang lahat ng sinulat mo sa salaysay na ito?
Me: Oo.
PO: Tumayo ka. Itaas mo ang kanang kamay mo. Sinusumpa mo bang pawang katotohanan lamang ang nasa salaysay na ito?
Me: Oo.
PO: Okey na, umupo ka na.
I’ve still yet to have the bumper fixed. I have to do it this weekend. Bummer. (Literally.)
