(This is part of a series of entries from my October 2009 trip to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. This entry is from October 26, 2009, when we arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.)

The bus ride was exhausting. From Singapore to KL, it took us some six hours on the bus with nothing to do but watch You Don’t Mess With the Zohan (which was pretty funny, to say the least). On board the bus were David, Robb, Tim, Carol, the Nuffnang PH team, and lots of MY Nuffnangers.

Once we’ve settled in our rooms at Tune Hotels.com (Downtown KL), we set out to meet Eric at Hotel Maya for dinner. I thought it was just a short walk from our hotel, but man, I got the distance wrong. But we walked anyway, and I used the long walk as an opportunity to take my first photos of KL.

At first, it really didn’t look that special, but then again, it was not like we knew where we were going and I sure didn’t know where to point my camera.

After the big dinner at Hotel Maya and some time spent trying to negotiate with cab drivers to take us back to our hotel at the right cost, we dozed off for a big day at the Nuffnang KL office.
