Singapore Day One.
Wednesday, October 28, 2009 17:47(This is part of a series of entries from my October 2009 trip to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. This entry is from October 19, 2009, when we arrived in Singapore.)
Carlos and I arrived in Singapore the afternoon of Monday last week. Huiwen and Lionel were there to pick us up at the airport (which was nice, even if it was a budget terminal). Our first stop: Perak Hotel, which was going to be our base of operations for the next four days. When we got to the Nuffnang SG office, we finally got to meet the other Nuffies: Raine, Elise, Robb, Esther, and (last, but not least) Ming. From RippleWerkz, we met a fellow Pinoy, Mark. It was a fun bunch, but that’s understating how great their company was.
Ming took us to some restaurant for chicken rice, and it was really good. Over dinner, we got to know more the other Nuffies. Truth is, before we got to Singapore, the only ones I knew from the bunch were Raine, Huiwen, and Clara. It was great to know that the other Nuffies were fun to be with, too.
After we got back to the hotel, we didn’t waste any time: Carlos and I took our cameras and took them to the streets of Singapore for an impromptu photo walk. I wasn’t really thrilled about the number of photos I got after the shoot, but I guess it’ll do. At least, I was able to shoot some great pictures. Little did I know that in the days to come, there’d be much less opportunity to walk around and tour the city.
My first day in Singapore was eventful, and it’d set us up for the next few days when we’d be consumed by work for the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards.
