Yellow Cab at Eastwood City.

Yellow Cab at Eastwood City.

The place I probably visit the most among the spaghetti joints I’m featuring here in this series is Yellow Cab Pizza; since last year, I’ve been revisiting the place about twice a week, and almost only because of one thing: their Spaghetti and Meatballs (which they call “SMB” for short, which I like a lot because it’s one pasta I really enjoy with beer).

Spaghetti and Meatballs.

Spaghetti and Meatballs.

What makes their spaghetti so good?

To be honest, I can’t tell. I started frequenting Yellow Cab (the Greenbelt 1 branch) because it was quite near my office (last year), because my friends loved hanging out there, and because the place was very relaxed. I knew they serve good pizza, but that was about it. There was just one time when I thought I wanted to try out their spaghetti, as well, and yeah, I got hooked.

The wall that Yellow Cab's known for.

The wall that Yellow Cab's become really known for.

I can say, though, that one thing I really love about Yellow Cab’s SMB are their meatballs, because they’re so damn big. Well, they should be because the SMB servings are good for two (which means it’s good for one me).

Yellow Cab delivers.

Yellow Cab delivers.

They also deliver, but whenever I call them up for deliveries, it’s almost always for their pizza, which I’m also addicted to (but that’s something I’ll about some other time).

The verdict. Yellow Cab’s Spaghetti and Meatballs is the bomb, and I don’t call it “heaven in a box” for nothing. 9 out of 10. Nang it!

(The Spaghetti Journal is a two-week long hunt for the best good old spaghetti recipe at the Fort Bonifacio area and Eastwood City, where the author works and lives, respectively.)

@Ken: You have Yellow Cab there in KL! Try it out, it’s a good place for pizza and pasta (American style, though).

I’ve always wanted to try it there but haven’t got the chance to. Those meatballs got me salivating! Gotta try it when I’m down in KL or Manila again. My place in Sabah doesn’t have Yellow Cab. *sobs*
