This morning was all about my favorite sports brand: Adidas. I visited, for the first time, the Adidas Concept Store at the Podium where they were having their year-end sale (up to 70% off on all items), and ended up buying gear from them. Hell yeah, I didn’t mind spending. It was worth it. How can it not be when they put those huge sale signs up front?

Basketball shorts: not quite Bruce Bowenesque, because he's crap and he's retired.

Everything was on sale, starting at 10% off up to 70% off. This basketball shorts which reminds me of the Spurs (who are bound to be losers for the next ten years) now only costs Php 1,075.50. (I’ve been looking for basketball shorts since last year. Then completely forgot about it.)

New kicks: again.

And new kicks: they’re down to Php 3,325.50. I thought I wanted a Derrick Rose pair, but, damn them Bulls. Anyone whose job is to pass Joakim Noah the ball is bound to lose.

I just got the blue ADMU jacket from the factory outlet near the Ad Congress venue (Subic) last week, but I thought I’d buy the white one as well today. Why should you get it? Because the factory outlet in Subic gave 30% discount off the regular price tag. The Adidas Concept Store, on the other hand and for a limited time only, offers it at 40% less the regular cost. Ahem: DLSU jackets and other items are also available, but the blue-and-white ones are so much better.

The sale runs until Monday, November 30, 2009. The Adidas Concept Store is located at the fourth floor of the Podium, 18 ADB Avenue, Barangay Wack-Wack, Greenhills East, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City (in other words, behind St. Francis Square and Megamall). On display are Stella McCartney, Adidas Originals, some Performance shoes, and ADMU/DLSU apparel.
