When Senators Fail to Report to Work.
Ako? Sa tingin ko, dapat yata akong malungkot.
(According to Dick Gordon, they are running away from their responsibility. According to the radio station my taxi driver earlier was listening to, they are wasting taxes the people are paying for their salaries. Me? I think I should feel sad.)

On another note, there’s this BusinessWold column I was reading earlier (prompted by the same radio program I listened to this morning) about Joker Arroyo’s privilege speech in Congress eleven years ago. The column, written by Solita Collas-Monsod, criticizes Arroyo for defending Villar now when 11 years ago, he was the one who illustrated how the same Villar violated the same rules he’s in the hot seat for now.
This is the point when you, dear reader, should feel the urge to throw up your arms in surrender, when you should lose hope for Philippine politics.
Don’t.

Watching the senate is like watching a different kind of dark comedy, which will eventually make one feel sad and depressed.

@Mica: Hold it right there; minsan naman, talagang nakakatawa rin lang, di ba? May sumasayaw-sayaw, may aantok-antok. That’s en-ter-tain-ment!
